Level 2 Textiles Technology
Subject Description
Teacher in Charge: Mrs L. Teague-Schellekens.
The student focus during this course is to further develop the skills and knowledge gained at Level 1 and;
. To develop a conceptual design for an outcome.
. To undertake effective development procedures and ideas to make and trail a prototype.
. To use advanced procedures using textile materials to make a specific product.
Each student will complete a 16 credit programme. They have an option to select additional Achievement standards depending on their ability and/or preference.

Recommended Prior Learning
Students have completed Level 1 TXT or Level1 DTC. Students that have strong literacy and numeracy understanding, completed subjects with a create component and are confident in report writing have an advantage.
Approximate Costs and Equipment/Stationery
Cost $50 for extras to complete all take home projects
Stationary: They present all their work digitally. So no stationary requirements.
