Level 2 Food and Nutrition

This course enables students to further develop the skill and knowledge gain at Level 1.
The main student focus is community based.
To achieve this the students will:
- Identify and analyse nutritional issues for families in New Zealand.
- Evaluate health promoting strategies designed to address a nutritional need.
- Analysing food for people with specific foodneeds (Teenage athletes) and finally,
- Evaluate sustainable food related practices.

AS 91299 - Analyse issues related to the provision of food for people with specific food needs - 5 Credits - internal
AS 91301 - Analyse beliefs, attitudes and practice related to a nutritional issue for families in New Zealand - 5 credits - internal
AS 91304 - Evaluate Health promoting strategies designed to address a nutritional issue - 4 Credits - External
