Subject Description

This course enables students to further develop the skill and knowledge gain at Level 1.
The main student focus is community based. 

To achieve this the students will:

  • Identify and analyse nutritional issues for families in New Zealand.
  • Evaluate health promoting strategies designed to address a nutritional need. 
  • Analysing food for people with specific foodneeds (Teenage athletes) and finally,
  • Evaluate sustainable food related practices.
