We live in a world of images. Art History provides a way of engaging with, understanding and responding to our contemporary visual experience. You will learn to interpret, discuss, make meaning and argue about artworks and the ideas surrounding them - skills that are relevant to a variety of career pathways. This is social history from a unique perspective. Areas of study for 2021 include Early Modernism and Modernism to Postmodernism.
Recommended Prior Learning
14 Level 2 credits in Art History, English, History or Classics or a Merit grade in AS 2.1 in Photography or Painting. An overall grade of Merit in any of the following Level 2 subjects is strongly recommended - Art History, English, History, Classics.
