Subject Description

This course offers the opportunity to develop a range of life and work skills that will be useful
while at school and as you transition into further study or work.

In this course we learn the following

 
1.Time Management Skills
2.Renting-Rights and Responsibilities
3. Accessing Legal Assistance 

4. Conflict Resolution

5. Road Safety, as a Driver.

6. How Tax Works, in terms of Personal Income.

Pathway

This course focusses on the skills needed for successful employment, interpersonal confidence, and life beyond High School . SYF is a good option for any student wanting to enhance their skills in 'real world' contexts for life after High School.

Please note, these assessments do not count towards NCEA level 1, or UE literacy.
