Level 2 Food and Nutrition

Subject Description

Teacher in Charge: Mrs L. Teague-Schellekens.

This course enables students to further develop the skill and knowledge gain at Level 1.
The main student focus is community based. 

To achieve this the students will:

  • Analyse beliefs, attitudes and practices related nutritional issues for families in New Zealand.
  • Evaluate health promoting strategies designed to address a nutritional need. 
  • Analysing food for people with specific food needs (Teenage athletes) and finally,
  • Evaluate sustainable food related practices.
