Year 10 Literacy
Subject Description
Teacher in Charge: Mrs M. Hemmingsen.
This course provides additional practice and revision in listening comprehension, phonetics and/or spelling patterns, reading comprehension, inquiry skills, paragraph and essay answers, and finally working memory exercises. This course covers skills assessed in the new literacy standards.
Recommended Prior Learning
Students may have taken 9LIT ( Year 9 Literacy) in the previous year, however this is not necessary. This course leads into 1ENA ( Level 1 English Applied).
Pathway
The skills in this subject underpin every literate subject and prepares students to feel confident acheiving the Literacy CAAs, either in Year 10 and/ or Year 11.
