Level 2 Physics

2PHY
Subject Description

Teacher in Charge: Ms S. Napier

This course is for those students who want to build on their interest and knowledge gained from Physics component in the 1SCI or 1SCO courses. It focuses on Mechanics (including forces, projectile and circular motion), Electricity (static, dc circuits and electromagnetism), Waves, Atoms and the practical skills needed to carry out a Physics investigation. The students can take P2.2 OR P2.5, but not both.
(It is suggested that the student will take a level 2 Mathematics course in 2021 if they are looking at studying level 3 Physics in 2022.)
This course provides a foundation for further study at tertiary level in fields such as Physics, Health Science and Engineering.

Pathway
