Recommended Prior Learning12 Level 1 credits in English or History, a Merit grade in L1 Art for AS 2.1 or a mix of the subjects listed
Year 12 Art History is a fascinating course for people who are curious about understanding how and why art works and cultural objects are created. You will learn how art reflects the time in which it is made and the people who make it. You will come to understand how your own experiences influence the way that you read art works and the meaning you make. Areas of study for 2022 are Towards Modernism and Aotearoa and the Pacific.
Please note that this is not a practical art course. Reading, verbal and writing skills are all that is required.
