This course is open to Year 13, and in some cases Year 12, students who have a strong interest in the sports and recreation industry. Preference will be given to Year 13 students. Students will need to have achieved Level 1 Literacy.


This course is for any students who are interested in pursuing a career in the sports and recreation industry. In this course, students will explore pathways around sport coaching, personal training, and event management. This will be a highly practical course where students will get a taster in each of these areas. The focus is also on developing leadership and management skills, so students need to be prepared to lead in a variety of contexts. 

Assessment will be through a combination of unit and achievement standards. 

Not a UE approved subject.
