NCEA STRUCTURE

For Level 1 you must have 60 credits.

• These credits can come from any Level 1, 2 or 3 and nearly always come from Level 1 in your first year of NCEA 
• Ten Numeracy and Ten Literacy credits from the co-requisite assessments must also be achieved

For Level 2 you must have 80 credits.

• 60 credits at Level 2 or above

·       20 credits can be from any Level 1, 2 or 3 but usually come from Level 1

·       Numeracy and Literacy credits must be included

For Level 3 you must have 80 credits.

• 60 credits at Level 3 or above
• 20 credits from Level 2 or above
• Numeracy and Literacy credits must be included
